About the European Inclusion Summit 2020
We had originally planned to meet in May 2020 but due to the coronavirus pandemic, the European Inclusion Summit had to be postponed. We are therefore all the more pleased to be able to host a virtual version of this important event on 17 November 2020 during the German Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
During the virtual event, we would like to share ideas with fellow activists from all over Europe – representatives of persons with disabilities and ombudspersons of governments as well as representatives of civil society – and discuss the content of a strong future European Disability Strategy 2020-2030.
At the event, which will include keynotes, panel discussions and interactive video conferences (Community Calls), we will focus on the European Accessibility Act and topics such as the protection of women and children with disabilities from violence, digitalisation and inclusive development cooperation. You can look forward to exciting best-practice examples from all over Europe.
The programme will be streamed live in German, English and French, including Sign Language (German and International Sign Language), speech-to-text interpretation (German, English and French) and audio description (German and English). The event will also be interpreted simultaneously into German Easy Language.
Please take a look at our programme for detailed information regarding the summit’s agenda on 17 November 2020.
